A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My name is Tessa House (formerly Rollins) and I'm from a semi-small town in Oklahoma, Ada. I've lived here my pretty much my whole life, and have been working in the pet industry since 2007. I took classes at Penn Foster College for dog grooming, care, behavior, and training, and in 2009 I completed training in nutrition and canine CPR. I love working with animals, and although I'm no "expert," I'm pretty sure I can handle just about anything thrown at me in the dog world. I am happily married to the most handsome man in the world and my best friend, Joey. He's my knight-in-shining-armor, my soul-mate, and so much more. I met B (nick-name we call each other) in 2011 while playing music in a local club. He was also a musician and we hit it off almost instantly. We now play together in the band Dirty Derringer. You can find info on DD in my opening blog. We had a zombie wedding on Halloween at my parents home in Byng, Oklahoma in 2012. B and I starting writing together in 2011 and have two published novels (zom-poc, of course) and are currently working on new works. We like to call ourselves horror writer, and I aspire to be like my idol, Stephen King. While writing, B has been working as a robotics engineer, and I have been keeping with my dog stuff. I still groom and train, and love my little dogs.Speaking of my little dogs...
I have 3 Shih-Tzus, a black and white male (Elvis) and a blonde & liver female (Monroe), and one Boston Terrier/Shih-Tzu mix (Marley Moo), who is black and white also. I love my little dogs and they are probably the best behaved little dogs I've ever met. Since I am a groomer and trainer, I guess I expect a little more from them. My little Shih Tzus are always cut in the summer cut with teddy bear heads (Roe with bows) and I've discovered that Marley looks best shaved down with a Schnauzer head. I have a really bad habit of trying new products on them, but I don't think they mind.
I decided to start this blog to express my feelings and thoughts along the road as a pet professional, but decided to also start doing some reviews of dog products so you at home as a pet owner or professional would know what's worth buying and what's not. So, if there is something you would like me to review, please email me and I will see what I can do! You may find more than just dog stuff here from now on, however. I'm going to be integrating a lot of my hobbies here. Don't worry, I'll label everything, so if you're not interested in gaming, or music, or whatever, just check the labels section to read what you want. It's mostly a dog blog, but sometimes it may not be. It may be a family blog, or work blog (writing or music) or something totally random for the day. And for that, I'm sorry. (I'm not sorry.)
And here's me and my handsome hubby!
