Marley and Moxy

Well, today was the dreaded day. Marley was raring to go this morning...I guess he thought he was going to get to go to work with me today. Once we got to the doc's he figured out that something wasn't right. He was a good boy though, and weighed in at 15.1 lbs. Dr. Brandon at Felines and Friends is wonderful! She takes so much time with the animals to make sure that they are healthy enough to even has surgery, checking blood pressure even, and then he hooks them up to alot of monitoring equiptment that ALOT of the other vets around here don't. She did cut me alittle discount in the price too... I guess because I used to work for her. I had to get onto Roe a couple times because she would smell the operation area and try to bite it! Little weirdo... I got to see Moxy there at the clinic too! She was just a kitten, only 8 weeks old when I first started working for Dr. Brandon and was sooo small. I'm not much of a cat person, but when I left Felines and Friends for grooming it was a little hard to part with her. She use to help me sweep, do laundry, etc. (which all she was really doing was playing with whatever I had in my hand at the time) but I still got alittle attached to the clinic kitten. I remember the first time I saw her again after I left, it must have been a year, she was HUGE! But it's weird, I really do think she remembers me every time I visit the clinic. All I have to do is say her name and there she is, and she LOVES to chat! Isn't it funny how with people, they suppress their emotions, and your never quit sure if they're just as excited to see you as you are them, but with animals, you always know FOR SURE exactly what they're feeling. It's nice to have someone litterally jump up and down to see you because they're so excited.
